The girls are happy with whatever a festival celebrates as long as there are festival snacks.

This particular festival has the girls dressing up as brides for the gods. Nina wasn't sure what to make of Koume's Westernized flair.

Kon hadn't had much good luck with wardrobe changes recently, so she felt some trepidation with putting on this new outfit.

Chiya got into some trouble with some sweet sake (which is not supposed to have alcohol in it), which caused major problems for Saku. Nina needed to apologize, but Saku thought she was going to bare her belly like Chiya instead of the harsher seppuku.

Chiya caught a cold during her drunken adventure, so the girls brainstormed ways of keeping her company so she didn't get bored or lonely. Koume as a hot water bottle seems kind of interesting.

Kon listened intently to Nina's perspective about relationships with the gods.

Koume's fantasies about her friends are pretty westernized too. A mystery solving detective Koume confronting a cat-eared villain Kon is kind of East meets West, though.

Black cats crossing Chiya's path isn't bad luck for her!

Nina can be a strict teacher, but it's obvious she's still a big sister to Nono. Even Matsuko the doll thinks so!

Oh. Kon's taking off her clothes so the girls can make sense of their body diagrams. I want a closer look too!

I think the other girls got a little too excited about painting dots on Kon's bare skin. This is supposed to be homework!

Saku's subordinates obviously idolize, but if they only knew how easily Saku's innocent heart gets flustered, would they still respect her? Or respect her more?







In a town populated almost exclusively by women, this scene with almost naked girls can't be a rare sight for Saku. Can it? Well, it was easy for them to apologize later since their bellybuttons were already bared.

A trip to a specialty store turned into an adventure and a game of chance. Also, cute girls playing with masks.

The girls went to the store to pick up a special bowl for the awesome Nina-Sensei, but because Kon broke something (which really wasn't her fault), she got picked on the most.

The second half of the episode was all about Chiya confirming her friendship with Koume through her tangled hair. A ripped blouse solved the situation instead of the usually eating of sweets.

I hope Nina's next fortune telling lesson goes a little better with her students.

Captain Saku doesn't have a high opinion of girls who show their bellybuttons so early in the morning.

Saku learned from her late night conversation with Chiya that she does indeed run around commando.











The cute girls do their cute things as they show their earnestness in learning fortune telling.

Saku's subordinates Oushima and Shiozawa are awfully protective of her in a yuri sort of way.

I learned from Saku that men aren't even allowed in the city except for a few hours in the afternoon. I haven't seen any men yet!

Omake Gif Anime - Urara Meirochou - Episode 1 - Chiya Apologizes

Chiya learned from her animal friends that you have to bare your belly when you apologize. That custom doesn't translate so well to city life.

First Thoughts.

This is pure cute-girls-do-cute-things comedy. The cute thing is fortune telling. The cute girls are cute! Chiya's belly button is going to be a running joke. The animation style and quality tiers fit the tone and gags. It's a nice fluffy relaxing show to watch.

The four main characters all become fast friends of Chiya the wild child. Kon, who is not a fox girl, is serious. Koume likes Western Culture. Shy Nono uses a ventriloquist doll to tell fortunes.

Police Captain Saku is going to have her hands full with all the indecent apologies she'll see from Chiya and her animal friends.

I don't know what fortune telling skills Chiya has yet, but she's definitely good at making friends quickly.

It's hard to read tea leaves if you keep drinking the tea leaves too, Chiya! Chiya has also made all the other girls show their belly buttons already. She works quick!
